Theory exam
The theory exam covers a maximum of 18 questions related to traffic regulations, specialized issues, and rules of giving first aid. One, two or three answers out of three (A, B, C) may be correct. It is required to mark all the correct answers. Omitting even one correct answer or marking an incorrect one is considered a mistake. The maximum number of mistakes is specified in the table below:

Examinees have 25 minutes for each exam . In case of taking two exams, the exam time is prolonged by 10 minutes.
The possitive result of the theory exam is valid for the subsequent 6 months. Within this period, the examinee may retake and correct the practical exam.
The theory exam takes place in an examination room and is produced in the form or a multiple choice exam :
1) computer exam – by means of examination computers operating on a uniform software recommended and certified by the minister of transport;
2) written exam – in the following cases:
a) the examinee applies for a permission,
b) failure of examination computers, which makes the normal exam procedure, as specified in point 1, impossible,
c) the examinee holds a medical certificate with a contraindication to carry out the exam in accordance with the procedures specified in point 1;
3) oral exam – in the following cases:
a) the examinee does not speak any of the languages that are available on examination computers (a sworn translator's attendance is required), or
b) the examinee holds a medical certificate with a contraindication to carry out the exam in accordance with the procedures specified in point 1 and 2.
The exam is automatically aborted by the system upon the passing of the exam time. Should a candidate answer the questions prior to the passing of the exam time, the exam can be finished by oneself. In each case, the result, upon which the examiner has no influence, is immediately displayed. This procedure renders the theory exam totally objective.
